Grandpa Don's tractor.

I am so glad to have this tractor parked in our shed.  My grandpa bought this tractor brand new.  Then my Uncle Steve Graham had it and then my cousin Daniel had it.  After we heard it was for sale at Vetter's in Mt. Ayr, I told Jeremy I wanted it.  Of course Jeremy couldn't tell me no!!!  The main reason for that is he bought his grandpa's tractor a few years ago.  So Jeremy was finally able to deal with them.  We went and brought it home on a Saturday and the only kid that new was Justin.  Jacob finally figured out on Monday that we had got it.  Justin tell people that we have 2 red tractors now.   Even though it is "MY" tractor, Jeremy is getting a lot of good use out of it!!!

Christmas 2013

As Justin has been telling us Christmas is OVER!!!  I will say I am very glad it is.  Even though we don't travel for Christmas.  We didn't even go out of Southwest Iowa, I was ready for it to be over!  That is very bad for me to say because I use to LOVE it. Sometimes I think being simple is much easier.  The boys received so many wonderful gifts from all of the relatives.  They loved everything.  I will have to say Jeremy's favorite gift was his homemade candy from his "little" sister Tracy.  He was so excited to get a gift from her.  Our family is very thankful for all the people that think of us and our children over the holidays.  Santa did come and find the boys.  Jacob got a telescope(he loves history and science!!), Joey got a cow puzzle, Justin received a farm toy that lifts up hay and they all got a new big red barn with  pen and feed bunks and all the extras.  I will say if you ask them who got the barn it is Joey's!!!!

Now that is it all over we have been putting all the gadgets away and putting the decorations  away.  Justin has been trying to cut our tree down with new chainsaw!!!!  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Joey's 4th Birthday!!!

Joey has been so excited about his Birthday!!!  We were able to have his party on his Birthday, which is way more fun!!!  We spent the day by going to see Santa at the Coop, then we went and tried to buy Mommy and him Grandpa Don's old 1086 at Vetter's.  The salesman was gone for the day, so we will being going back tomorrow!!  Then we had his party.  My mom made him a Mickey Mouse Cake.  Joey loved EVERY present he opened.  He has the biggest smile on his face every time.  No matter what the present was he LOVED it.  He really liked his new go cart from my parents.  It has cause a few fights but the new will wear off.   I will have to say  turning 4 wore Joey out.

Joey's first christmas program.

Joey had his first music program last night.  Jeremy and I were a little nervous if he would even stay on stage.  Even though shy or quiet at home. He is very shy at school.  He did a wonderful job.  He sang and smiled and LOVED it.  Mommy just loves his big eyes!!!!

Thanksgiving 2013

We spent Thanksgiving week with my family.  My parents bought all 19 of us tickets to Disney on Ice in Des Moines.  The boys loved it.  Joey just thought it was the greatest.  Then we had Dinner at my mom's.  Then we attempted a grandkid picture for my mom.  But when you have 11 kids and 3 of them the age 3.  1 of my sister boys runs away when he see a camera it was very interesting!!  then I did my first "shopping experience with my siblings.  Jeremy stayed home and it was good thing!!!  It was pretty wild. It was something I will never forget.  Then of course we had kids stay here and play and the good stuff that happens with cousins.  The kids had lots of fun!

The boys loved the pumpkin pie Grandma Kathryn made us.. I think lasted about 30 minutes at our house!!!!

Our Excursion.

So since we sold our Ford Expedition.  Trying to go places has been a challenge.  We have very nice Pickup that is WAY To nice to drive( I am not allowed to drive it much), then we have our old blazer and out "new" chevette.  3 kids in all of these is pretty packed.  So Jeremy finally broke down and bought me a Ford Excursion. The only problem was it was in Mississippi.  So Jeremy, Jacob and I flew down to New orelans and rented car.  It was a scary since NONE of use had ever been on  plane.  Jacob LOVED it.  he sat with the pilots and received many treats on plane.  We flew from KC to Atlanta, which I loves the Atlanta airport it was like  a mall!!!  Then Atlanta to New Orleans.  We flew out on a Sat. Afternoon and arrived Monday night.  With even stopping in Branson to rest for awhile.

our Ford Excursion we love the room!!!!

CATCH -UP!!

Obviously I am little behind!!!!  So here a quick update!!  Jacob started 3rd grade at Mt.Ayr and Joey started preschool in Diagonal.  Joey LOVES preschool and Jacob loves giving his new first year teacher from Canada a run for her money!!!  Jacob turned 9 on Sept. 29 and Justin turned 3 on October 22.  Yes Joey and Justin are both 3 together and they are soo much fun, but seem to get into trouble together.  Jeremy has been staying busy by hauling fuel.  When it was busy out he would work over 13 hours a day and then come and work too.  I will have to say very nice paychecks!!!
