we survived 2011!!!

Where did 2011 go!!!!  So we survived our year with having 2 very small children. I won't lie it has been challenging but it will all be worth it.  Now for Jacob he has had a very rough time adjusting to not being the only child.  Jeremy and I have survived not getting much alone time or date nights.  We celebrated our 10 year anniversary.  It is funny how some people have kids and still go out all of the time.   We tried to have a date night tonight and got a call that the babysitter's friend got sick and threw up all over our carpet.  So we hurried home and cleaned carpets....

It was also a sad year for Jeremy, he lost his Grandpa Hollie Hughes in July and his grandma Mary Novak that he lived with for many years on Dec. 1.  He has many good memories of both of them.

We have many stressful situation's, but we always seem to get through them.  Even though we have owned a Ford Expedition for 5 weeks and we have only drove it for 2.5. Hopefully we get it back next week......We just haven't had the best of luck in the month of December.

As we go into 2012 we just pray to have a happy and healthy year.  We are excited to watch our boys grow.  We also think it may get crazy around now that Justin is walking, Joey is climbing, and Jacob just goes 100 miles an hour all of the time(even on crutches).

Jeremy and I's one goal for 2012 is to go on a vacation just for us. Even if it just away for a few nights.  Also to find more time for each other.  Maybe try to go on a family trip too, but that might be pushing it.

Well best of luck to everyone in 2012.

The wreck

Jacob rode his Dirt bike for over an hour and had no problems.....  As he told the Dr. he got a little to big for his britches and decided to try 3rd gear.  Even though dad told him NO WAY!!  Well he somehow lost control and ran into a hay bale.  He face was scratched up and he hurt is ankle and few other body part(we won't tell you about them).  After complaining that his foot really hurt we took him tot he ER on Monday in Mount Ayr.  They x-rayed wrapped it up and put him on crutches and said if it was not better to go to the pediatrician in a couple days.  Well about an hour after we came home they called back and said it had been fractured.  So we headed to Des Moines were he got a temp. cast put on.  He is doing very well with his crutches and is ready for his foot to get healed up.  He is ready to ride his bike again(it needs a few new parts..) but is going to listen to dad this time.  Some people have told us we Santa should have never got it for him.  It is the smallest one you can buy and we have seen 3 and 4 year olds ride them.  Sometimes it just take a little accident to make kids open their eyes........

Joey's Birthday party.....

So we finally celebrated Joey's Birthday on Christmas Eve.  He LOVED his b-day cake.  I have already decided next we will celebrate it earlier in December. I honestly think he should get a Birthday in July too..

Christmas 2011

We had 3 very excited boys for Christmas.  Jacob just knew he was going to get a dirt bike from Santa.  On Christmas morning Jacob came into our room and informed us that he got a sword(pogo stick).  I said no Dirt Bike, he said NOPE and then jumped in bed.  Then the little ones woke up.  We sent Jacob out to the garage to get something.  He was shocked the look on his face was priceless.  The little ones didn't really care about opening presents but they loved their new rocking horse.
