this and that

Well the month of December has been full of running.  From Christmas concerts, to church events, to wrestling, and to work.  I have been subbing at the school nonstop!!  Of course Joey turned 6!!!  So we had a great party for him.  He celebrated at school with his friends.  I guess I was in a Dinner Theatre for our Church. When the asked me to be in it, they said ohh you will only have a few lines... So I agreed.  Try 50+ lines.  I made it through.  Had lots of fun with old friends and made new friends.  Here is a few pictures to sum up some Dec. events.

Labor Day!!

We always spend labor Day in Diagonal.  They have this little celebration.  The boys pedal pulled, went fishing, pulled lawn mowers, helped deliver free watermelon, was in the parade and watch all kinds of tractor/ pickup pulls!!!  It is always fun but tiring!!

Century Farm

Our official Century Farm photo came.  Thank goodness it turned out well because all the snapshots were bad!!!

School 2015

School is underway...  the boys have all adjusted very well.  Justin is in preschool and goes at noon and then gets to ride the bus home with the boys.  I think he would go all day if he could!!!  Joey is kindergarten and has adjusted to getting out bed early!!!  He really likes his teacher Mrs. Coulson.  Jacob is in 5th grade.  He has Mrs. Frost and has a BIG class this year.  He is starting band this year an has chose the saxophone to play.  He is also playing football, which takes ups most of our evening and Saturdays until the end of October.  I have started subbing some at the school this year.  Nice to work some but not everyday!

Life is Changing

Hard to believe all the boys are in school this year.  I am so thankful all of our children are able to go to school.  Sometimes you just forget about all the close calls you have in life.  I found this saying and I think it fits my boys well.  I know I will Thank God tonight for watching over all my boys and me.

State Fair

We had a fun time at the State Fair.  Jacob showed his Polled Hereford heifer in the open show.  It has been many years since we have shown at the fair.  We seemed to get right back in the routine.  The second day we were there it was so cold we had to wear sweatshirts and jeans.   Jacob showed Thursday morning, then as soon as he was done it was time to get ready for our award.  Jeremy received his Century farm award.  It was a very proud moment for Jeremy.  We were so glad my parents were there to take pictures.  we are hoping the picture they are sending to us turned out better!!!  Then right after that we changed back to old clothes and went to load all the tack and heifer up to come home.  It was a busy couple days but Jeremy has already mentioned next year and that hopefully we can get a Exhibitor Camping spot.

The boys were invited to a VIP event with the lady that makes the Butter Cow!!
