Preschool Graduation

Joey is just in 3 year old preschool.  So he had a graduation this week.  He is graduating to 4 year old preschool!!  He had such a fun time.  He was so excited for it.  Of course he thought the WHOLE family be there.  They had cake, punch and mints for everyone afterwards. He is really growing up so fast.  His teacher is Mrs. Newton, and then there are 3 associates,  Mrs. Darrah, Ms. Peckham, and Ms. Ruby (I use to babysit her almost every Saturday).  I guess it means school will be out before long.  BRING ON SUMMER!!!

Mothers Day 2014

Mothers Day just happen o be very wet this year!!!!  So that meant Jeremy had his first day off from hauling fuel in 4 weeks. Jacob made me waffles all by himself.  Then Jacob and I went to church.  At church I received a beautiful flower.  When I came home Jacob had me a wonderful gift.  He had Uncle Dick take him to Farm and Home so he could get me something.  Mt. Ayr Farm and Home doesn't have many "GIRLY" things!!!  The last time he went there to get me something I received a pocket knife and BB's.  This time he picked out this outdoor thermometer with 2 pretty dogs on it.  Then I was told he was hanging it in his room.  So not sure if I really get it or not.  Jeremy tool the  boys shopping Saturday night to get me cards.  I think he realized how shopping is with 2 kids. Of course I just laugh!!!  He made it sound like I wouldn't know how it is to shop with kids!!!  Sunday Afternoon Jeremy and I went and spent the rest of the day in Des Moines. My kids spent the day at my parents... It was a pretty relaxing afternoon!!!

Jeremy's Birthday!!!!

Jeremy turned 37!!!!  Even though his birthday was on Sunday he still hauled fuel and then worked on the
farm .   The boys made him 2 cakes!!!  Of course sand him happy birthday many time!!!  But even though he is getting old he still likes to have fun!!!

Catching up!!!

So just a little behind!!!    The month of April was filled with lot of baby calves, Music concerts, Easter Egg Hunts and of course Amy's hospital visit for Kidney stones.   On Late Easter afternoon I started having terrible pains.  I had no idea what was wrong with me.  It was way worse than having a baby.  So I called Jeremy and he came in and took me to the hospital.  As he was driving I kept saying can you make this pickup go any faster.  Considering he was going 90 that was probably fast enough!!!  I stayed Sunday night and Monday night in the hospital.  Then Jeremy had time to come get me on Tuesday in the fuel truck to bring me home.  I finally passed 1 stone.  I have many more in me.  While I was in the hospital Joey had a music concert so I had to miss it. Poor Joey just wanted to stay with me at the hospital!!  I was so glad to get home.  Otherwise Jeremy has been working many hours. Jacob is busy in school activities.   Here are a few pictures.....

Birthday singing!!!

Grandma Kathryn's birthday!

So Grandma Kathryn's birthday is a  pretty big deal at our house.  Joey and Justin helped me bake a cake for her.  Of course Joey picked the cake out it was NEON yellow and pink frosting.  Then we had to wrap her presents.  We went over to see her and went to the Dairy Queen to eat.  For some reason Joey thought they were going to hide under the tables at the Dairy Queen and when she walked in yell SURPRISE HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!  The boys helped her unwrap her presents and of course eating cake and sang happy birthday to her.  She received very pretty flowers Mickey and Peggy(purple vase),  Tracy and Cody (basket and the balloon) and Travis and Linessa(clear vase).  Jeremy said on the way home "you would never know Grandma is 88!"   I love it that my kids get excited for everyone's birthday!!  I am sure Justin will wake up in the morning and say Grandma's birthday is over.

April already!!!

Well it seems like the month of March flew by.  Obviously it was not from NICE weather!!!  We started calving.  I think we only have 9 more to go!  We have a bottle calf and the boys have named him "Jake"  he comes to the door or on the deck or wherever we are when he is hungry.  If he is out in the yard and hears us pull in he runs to greet us. Even comes in the garage. He is just like a puppy but quite bit bigger.  In fact Justin and Joey love him but I think he intimidates them when he gets to kicking his heels.  Jacob ended the month by getting pneumonia again....  We found out he has Asthma.  He told me that he could hear out of 1 ear.  So I took to a local Dr. and found out he has pneumonia.  They informed us to go to the pediatrician when he gets all the medicines gone.  He is back to school but still gets out of breath.  Joey had a great follow up eye appointment from his head injury.  They said the eye looks great. To bring him back in  years. Now for Justin we have gotten potty train (for the most part!!), He went to 3 year old day at school and LOVED it.  He keeps asking when he gets to go back to school.  He is so full of energy loves to cook, clean and help do anything!!..  Jeremy has been hauling fuel NONSTOP!!  Which I guess it is good that I am home to check cows throughout the day.  My dad told him that they should hire another person and Jeremy told him no reason as long as Amy is home to check my cows.  Jeremy is very lucky to have a good boss that pays well. I am so glad Jeremy is a hard worker and realizes the more you work the more money you have.  WE LOVE OVERTIME HOURS!!!   We did sell our calves this week and very thankful that they sold well.  Joey, Justin and I went and watched the sale.  Justin had to get picked up a little early because he didn't like to sit.  Now Joey he knew our calves as soon as the came into the ring and he got right by the fence and stood there the whole time they sold.  Then he waved by to them and told he would miss them.  Then when they were done he said time to go get my check!!!!  Love my farm boys!!!
